What is Kees Automotive?
Precision, Dedication, and Honesty
Kees Automotive LLC established August 18, 2023, is an auto repair shop located in Harlan Indiana that was founded specifically to serve the East Allen County Community. We're starting out as a maintenance and light repair shop and plan to slowly expand into a wider variety of repairs and specialized certifications! Kees Automotive hopes to bring the big city quality and skills and combine them with the small-town charm and honesty!

Maintenance and Light Repair
Multi-Point Inspections
Kees Automotive does a walk around of your vehicle. Multi-point inspections are important to ensure that all the functions of your vehicle are in good, legal, and safe condition. We perform a multi-point inspection for every vehicle that rolls through the shop for any repair or service but if you just wanted the inspection alone, we charge a flat rate of $30.
Battery Replacement
We offer a battery test as part of the multi-point inspection. If you come in for a battery replacement by request, we will first test the battery to ensure that it is the cause of the problem with your vehicle before going ahead with swapping it out.
Basic Diagnostic
Depending on the situation, the price and acceptance of the diagnostic service may vary depending on the problem and difficulty. Price could be between $30 - $80 for the diagnostic alone. If we take on the diagnostic but can't figure out the issue, we will only charge $20 for our time and recommend alternative steps. If we figure out the issue and are able to perform the repair, we will drop the diagnostic fee and you will only be charged with the cost of the repair.
Oil Change
An oil change is one of the most standard (but at the same time) the most important service you could perform for your car's engine. Your engine is made up of various high-speed moving parts in order to create the necessary energy to move your vehicle. The oil is designed to lubricate these moving parts in order to ensure no rubbing or grinding occurs causing your engine to explode. Manufactures require an oil change around every 5,000 miles or 6 months. We offer conventional (standard) oil and full synthetic (premium) oil changes.
Light Bulb Replacements
Your lights are very important in order to be able to see the road and also have others see you! Also, not to mention it's the law to have your lights in proper working order.
Brake Flush
Brake fluid absorbs moisture from the air and can create air pockets in your brake lines overtime. This causes your brake pedal to become soft and could even become ineffective! Most manufacturers recommend changing your brake fluid about every three years.
Coolant Service
Coolant is an important part of keeping your car from overheating, especially in the summer. What many people don't know is that coolant is where your heat comes from to warm up the inside of your car. Most manufacturers require coolant changes anywhere in between 30,000 to 70,000 miles or around 5-6 years.

About the owner
Meet Allen Kees
Allen Kees has lived in Harlan Indiana his whole life and has a lot of love for his community. Allen is a Harlan Christian School alumni and actively attended the Harlan Christian Youth Center back in his elementary school days. After high school he immediately began his higher education at Ivy Tech Community College in their Automotive Technology program. He has brought over three years of experience in the industry back home to follow in his family's footsteps of hard work and entrepreneurship.
